Entrambi i modelli sono efficaci nel garantire la galleggiabilità, ma la scelta dipende dalle preferenze personali e dallo spazio disponibile a bordo. È fondamentale che entrambi siano omologati MED.
Per preservare l'integrità del tuo salvagente, è consigliabile conservarlo in un luogo asciutto, al riparo dalla luce solare diretta e da fonti di calore. L'utilizzo di una custodia protettiva è ideale per proteggerlo da polvere, salsedine e agenti atmosferici. Controlla regolarmente che non vi siano segni di usura o danneggiamenti.
I salvagenti omologati hanno una durata limitata, indicata sull'etichetta del prodotto. È importante controllare la data di scadenza e sostituire il salvagente anche se apparentemente in buone condizioni. In caso di danni o segni di usura, la sostituzione è sempre consigliata, indipendentemente dalla data di scadenza.
Si raccomanda l'utilizzo di una cima galleggiante in polipropilene o polietilene, di lunghezza adeguata (almeno 30 metri) e con un carico di rottura sufficiente a sostenere il peso di una persona. È importante verificare periodicamente che la cima non presenti segni di usura o danneggiamento.
Assolutamente no. L'utilizzo di un salvagente non omologato è pericoloso e illegale. Solo i salvagenti omologati MED garantiscono il rispetto degli standard di sicurezza europei e la loro efficacia in caso di emergenza. Affidati sempre a prodotti certificati per la tua sicurezza in mare.
Il salvagente deve essere posizionato in un luogo facilmente accessibile e ben visibile, in modo da poter essere recuperato rapidamente in caso di emergenza. Evita di riporlo in gavoni chiusi o in luoghi difficili da raggiungere. Un supporto a parete o un apposito alloggiamento sul ponte sono soluzioni ideali.
