150.10 €Gli aghi per Dyneema sono progettati con una punta arrotondata e lucida per scorrere tra le fibre ad alta tenacità senza tagliarle o danneggiarle. Gli aghi standard, con la loro punta affilata, possono compromettere la resistenza della cima.
Il filo cerato in poliestere è la scelta ideale per riparare le vele. La cera protegge il filo dall'abrasione e dai raggi UV, mentre il poliestere garantisce un'elevata resistenza e durata nel tempo. Marlow è un marchio rinomato per la qualità dei suoi fili cerati.
Dopo ogni utilizzo, pulisci accuratamente il punteruolo con acqua dolce per rimuovere eventuali residui di sale. Asciugalo con un panno morbido e applica un leggero strato di olio protettivo per prevenire la formazione di ruggine, soprattutto se prevedi di riporlo per un lungo periodo.
È sconsigliabile utilizzare un taglierino standard per tagliare le cime, soprattutto quelle in materiali sintetici come il Dyneema. Un taglierino specifico per cime, con lama affilata e spesso riscaldata, permette di ottenere un taglio netto e preciso, evitando lo sfilacciamento delle fibre.
Se un ago si piega durante l'impiombatura, è importante sostituirlo immediatamente. Continuare a utilizzare un ago piegato può danneggiare la cima e rendere l'operazione più difficile e pericolosa. Assicurati di utilizzare aghi di buona qualità e della dimensione appropriata per il tipo di cima che stai lavorando.
La durata del filo cerato dipende dalla frequenza di utilizzo e dalle condizioni ambientali. In generale, è consigliabile sostituire il filo cerato se presenta segni di usura, come sfilacciamenti, scolorimento o perdita della ceratura protettiva. Un filo cerato in buone condizioni garantisce cuciture più resistenti e durature.
