I ripartitori con tecnologia FET consentono una carica simultanea di due o più batterie da un unico alternatore (o da un unico caricabatteria), senza collegare le batterie tra di loro. Scaricando così la batteria di servizio, per esempio, non si scaricherà anche quella di avviamento.
Non hanno praticamente nessun calo di tensione che, infatti, è inferiore a 0,02 Volt in assenza di carico mentre arriva mediamente a 0,1 Volt a pieno carico.
